This brief describes how the Maricopa County Education Services Agency (MCESA), a Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) Round 3 and 4 grantee, worked with its program evaluator, Basis Policy Research, to investigate turnover by level of teacher effectiveness and assessed the effect of its teacher evaluation process on teacher retention.
